From the very first ball, Grorud absolutely dominated the match in every department. The bowling unit kept Drammen under pressure throughout their innings and restricted them to just 112/8.

Ranjit and Basil gave us the perfect start with the ball, setting the tone early. Then Bibin Thomas and Ranjith Tom continued the momentum with excellent spells.

And it wasn’t just the main wicket-takers — Rahul Kaladharan and Deva Nandan also bowled very well and played their part in keeping the scoring under control.

Chasing 113, Nithin Nandan and Jojy Varghese came out with one clear mindset — finish the game early.

Nithin was particularly aggressive, smashing 30 off just 20 balls, including 7 boundaries, at a strike rate of 150. The intent was clear from the beginning: don’t let the game go deep.

Jojy supported him with a steady 13 runs, before the middle order took over.

Then came Rijoy, who remained unbeaten on 20 off 19, and Ranjit, who finished the match in style with 12 from just 4 balls.

Grorud reached 113/3 in only 11.3 overs — a statement victory.
