Bowlers Kept Us in the Game

Strømmen B won the toss and chose to bat on a good pitch. Praveen Diwan punched in 36 off 28 at the top and Grorud had to stay disciplined to keep the total from running away.

The wickets were shared right through the attack — every bowler contributed. Rohith Moothedath led the way with 2/29 from his 4 overs. Mahesh Das took 2/24, while Renju Kochumman Raju, Rijoy P and Kiran Raj all struck important blows.

Special mention to Kiran Raj, whose 3 overs went for just 7 runs (with a maiden). That kind of control in the middle overs is what let us restrict Strømmen to 144/8 — a chaseable target.

Kiran and Rijoy Held the Chase Together

We lost two early wickets in the powerplay, but Kiran Raj (37 off 41) and Rijoy P (36 off 23, six fours) rebuilt the innings with a partnership that changed the tempo of the game.

Rijoy went into attack mode when the required rate started to climb. Bibin Devasia followed up with a lovely cameo of 23 off 17, and Benny Kuriakose chipped in with 12 to keep the chase moving.

Grorud got home with 8 balls to spare — 145/6 in 18.4 overs. A calm, composed chase where the responsibility was passed around like it should be.
