A tough loss, but a fine bowling effort that showed exactly what this team can do. Grorud bowled Holmlia out for 154 — the chase was where the day slipped away.

Grorud won the toss and chose to bowl. The plan worked. Every bowler on the sheet contributed and Holmlia were bowled out for 154 in 20 overs — a proper team bowling performance.

• Bibin Thomas: 3/18 in 4 overs (economy 4.50) — the captain leading from the front.
• Rijoy P: 2/25 — struck twice with valuable middle-overs breakthroughs.
• Rohith Moothedath: 2/17 in 3 overs (economy 5.67) — controlled the death.
• Rahul Kaladharan and Mahaboob Monutty also chipped in with a wicket each.

Jagdeep Singh (42 off 26) and Kamaleshwar Kumar (42) fought for their side, but we broke every partnership. Given the way we bowled, 155 was chaseable.

The Chase That Got Away

Kashif Farooq (3/12 in 2.3 overs) and their attack found the seam movement we couldn’t fully counter. Wickets fell early and Grorud never quite got a partnership going.

Fighting knocks came from:
